EMERGENCY: VIOLENCE IN IRAN
Right now, Iranian security forces are violently quashing largely peaceful protests sparked by Mahsa Amini's death on September 16th, days after her arrest by the "morality police" for not complying with discriminatory compulsory veiling laws.
Amnesty is collecting evidence of the unlawful use of teargas, water cannons, and beatings with batons to disperse protesters. Hundreds of people have been killed and injured.
Please, rush an emergency donation today to fund our investigation and to demand an end to this militarized policing of peaceful protesters.
